GET TV Returns To Cincinnati Airwaves

After a six-week absence, the GET TV network returned to Cincinnati Monday on over-the-air Channel 25.3 and Cincinnati Bell Fioptics Channel  292.

GET TV was dropped Feb. 28 from Sinclair's WSTR-TV multiplex channels, and replaced with the new TBD programming for Millennials on Channel 64.4.

Owned by Sony Pictures Television, GET TV airs reruns of Carroll O'Connor's "In The Heat Of The Night," "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour," the "Merv Griffin" talk show, Burt Reynolds' 1966  "Hawk" police series, "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," "Bill Engvall Show," "Loredo," "Cimarron City," "The Young Riders," "Father Murphy," "Shane," "Hondo," "The Life And Times Of Grizzly Adams," "The Equalizer," "Tour of Duty," "Airwolf" and  "Yancy Derringer."

In April the network is airing 1960s and '70s music specials such as "Bette Midler: Ol' Red Hair Is Back" (9 p.m. Monday April 17), "Carol Channing and Pearl Bailey: On Broadway (10 p.m. Monday April 17) and "Cher" (with Bette Midler, Elton John and Flip Wilson at 11 p.m. Monday, April 17).

GET TV bumps Retro TV to Channel 25.8, says Elliott Block, CEO and general manager of Block Broadcasting Co, which operates WKRP-TV (Channel 25) and WOTH-TV (Channel 20).  Retro TV replaces The FU channel.

Spectrum cable does not carry any of the WKRP-TVor or WOTH-TV channels.

Last year GET TV airedold holiday TV specialsstarring Perry Como, Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Cash, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Mac Davis, Rosemary Clooney, Mel Torme, Judy Garland and Danny Kaye.
