The Metropolitan Sewer District is being asked to buy several homes on the west side because of flooding and sewer backups.

Update 3:50 p.m.:

The heaviest rain in Hamilton County from this morning's storms fell in the west and northeastern corners. Metropolitan Sewer District Director Gerald Checco says other than last August's heavy rain, it was the biggest storm in years.

Update 6/23/2016 1:15 p.m.: The National Weather Service in Wilmington is confirming a tornado hit Clinton County early Thursday morning. The service says the storm had maximum wind speeds of 80 miles per hour.
