Dad: "no way" son could have planned Capitol attack

Chris Cornell, a Green Township terrorist suspect, will continue to be held without bail in the Butler County Jail. Friday Magistrate Stephanie Bowman agreed with Assistant U.S. Attorney Tim Mangan that he is a threat to the public and a flight risk.

Before the hearing, the suspect's father, John Cornell, told reporters there was "no way" his son could have come up with such a plan on his own.

NIMBY fights raise issues, often to community advantage

Construction of Mercy Health West Hospital nears completion as the November opening approaches. The hospital will “create a new rhythm of life” on North Bend Road in Green Township, according to development and planning director Adam Goetzman.

Mercy Health West Hospital will open this fall in Green Township.  When plans for the hospital were announced, some residents voiced their opposition. It was a classic NIMBY fight.

In Greater Cincinnati and in every other community, there is a history of neighbors questioning or opposing projects they might support in general, but “not in my backyard”.  Often the concerns raised by neighbors lead to compromises that can be advantageous for all concerned.
