Time for the Sixth Annual Books by the Banks Cincinnati USA Book Festival on Saturday, October 20. This free, family-friendly event features over 100 national and regional authors, panel discussions, book readings and a fun kid’s zone. Mark Perzel talks with two of the event organizers, Melissa Norris and Sandy Bolek, about some of the authors coming this year, the growth of the event, and plans to relocate the event to The Banks.

“Every Citizen is a Diplomat” is the theme for the October 4 TedxCincinnati at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Presented in conjunction with the Sister Cities International meeting in Cincinnati, the event features speakers Bob Herring from Nativity School, Carlos Reyes from Young Americans for Diplomatic Leadership in Washington, D.C. and others.

It’s time again for the Cincinnati Zoo’s largest fundraising event, Zoofari, and this time the theme is Wild India. Linnea Bonacci, one of the event organizers, joins Thane Maynard to talk about the event and how the dollars raised are used in support of the Zoo.
