The Cincy Blues Society is sponsoring their annual 2018 Cincy Winter Blues & Heritage Festival at Duke Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati Friday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 3rd. There'll be more than 40 acts on 5 stages including Alligator Records recording artist Tinsley Ellis who'll be performing the first night at 9:15pm in the BB King Room.
So, in this blues special that'll air at 11pm, Saturday, January 27th, you'll hear in the first set two songs by Tinsley Ellis from his new release, Winning Hand, and a phone interview he did with Ron Esposito on January 23rd. They discuss his blues career, new album, playing with Lonnie Mack, and the festival set.
During the rest of this blues program, you'll hear from many of Cincinnati's great blues musicians including Sonny Moorman, Marcos Sastre, Greg Schaber, and Ricky Nye. These musicians will be appearing at the blues festival also on February 2nd and 3rd at the convention center. Music starts at 5:15pm each day.
