Where Are They Now: The Linz Kids Who Won $1 Million On ‘The Amazing Race’

CBS Television

On this day 10 years ago, four Linz kids from Anderson Township were presented a $1-million check on “CBS This Morning” on Dec. 14, 2005, the day after winning “The Amazing Race.”

The Linz siblings -- Nick, 24; Alex, 23; Megan, 21 and Tommy, 19 -- had raced through 50 cities in 25 days on the reality show since the previous September. The kids gave $500,000 to their parents, Tom and Terri, and split the remaining amount after taxes among the four participants and their three brothers.

Where are they now? Here’s an update from their mother Terri:

Nick, 34, is married to Brooke and they have two little ones.  Marlow is 2 1/2 and Axel is almost 1. They had been living in Manhattan Beach, Calif., for the past eight years, but moved here to Hyde Park last January. Nick is a partner in a manufacturing company.

The Linz's "Amazing Race" ended at Niagra Falls, near where one of the kids worked in Buffalo.

Alex, 33, and his wife, Nicci, have an 8-month-old son, Levi.  Alex is in sales with a packaging company. They live in Indianapolis. His in-laws are our long time family friends! We were on vacation with them in Cancun when first approached by CBS to apply for “The Amazing Race.”

Megan, 31, and her husband, Blake have three daughters.  Olivia is 3, Scarlett is 2, and Lila is 1. Whoa!!! She is a stay-at-home Mom and they live in Loveland. Megan still attends benefits for charities when they reach out to reality TV stars.

Tommy (aka Bone), 29, lives in Corona del Mar, Calif. He is with a Neuro-Spine device company and assists in major surgeries... Can you believe that?  Bone is single and enjoying the celebrity lifestyle in LA, but would love to move back to Cincinnati. He is returning to celebrate his big 30th birthday on Christmas Day and party in his favorite city.

Thank you for remembering my kids. It was a fun ride!

Terri
