Students who participate in service learning programs engage in hands-on projects that enhance their academic studies, foster their sense of civic responsibility and have a positive effect on the community.

Joining us to discuss the value of service learning are Boone County Schools Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Karen Cheser; Northern Kentucky University Assistant Professor of Social Work and Faculty Coordinator for the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project, Dr. Jessica Averitt Taylor; and Thomas More College Associate Adjunct Professor and Director of the Thomas More Success Center, Dr. John Ernst.

Leaders at Skyward and Agenda 360 created the Greater Cincinnati Service Learning Network to increase the practice and value of service learning from kindergarten through postsecondary education, and make our region a model for developing engaged citizens.
