Sunday's Local Trump Rally Now Scheduled For West Chester

UPDATED 9:23 AM SATURDAY:

A release from the Donald J. Trump Campaign now lists a 2:00 rally in West Chester at the Savannah Center on Chappell Crossing Boulevard.  Tickets available here:

ORIGINAL STORY:

A mid-day Sunday rally for presidential contender Donald J. Trump at the Duke Energy Convention Center has been called off.

Eric Deters, who was the Northern Kentucky chairman of the Trump campaign told WVXU that there were "some problems" with the Duke Energy Center that could not be worked out, but he said the campaign is still trying to schedule a rally with Trump in Cincinnati before Tuesday's primary election.

"I know they are working on it and looking at other venues," Deters said. "I still believe it will happen."

Rob Scott, Trump's Ohio campaign chairman, sent a direct tweet to WVXU late Friday night saying Deters is not a spokesman for the campaign.

But, as of early Saturday morning, there was no Cincinnati event on the official schedule on Trump's campaign website.

The Trump campaign's website lists a schedule of events that has the candidate doing rallies in Bloomington, IL  on Sunday morning and in Boca Raton, FL at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.  There is no mention of any rallies in Cincinnati on the official schedule.  He is to hold a rally in  Doral, FL on Monday.

Friday night, the Trump campaign called off a rally at the University of Illinois of Chicago after multiple fights broke out in the venue.

Trump is scheduled to be in Ohio on Saturday though.  He has a rally scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Wright Bros. Aero in Vandalia,  just north of Dayton, and a second rally Saturday afternoon at the Cleveland I-X Center.
