Six New TV Networks Added To Cincinnati Airwaves

“NYPD Blue,” “Hill Street Blues,” “Newhart,” “Bewitched,” “Three’s Company,” The Commish,” “Barney Miller,” “Sanford and Son” and dozens of other old favorites air on Cincinnati’s newest TV station, low-power WOTH-TV (Channel 20).

Elliott Block has doubled his over-the-air TV offerings, with six new networks on WOTH-TV (Channel 20) to go with the six networks on low-power WKRP TV (Channel 25). WOTH-TV (his “Other” station) carries the Movies!, Antenna TV, Heroes & Icons, Decades, AMGTV and Tuff TV networks.

Here’s what you’ll see on each:

WOTH-TV

Movies! (Channel 20.1): “Von Ryan’s Express,” “The Presido,” “Firewalker,” “North To Alaska” and other films 24/7.

Decades (Channel 20.2): Shows range from “The Big Valley” and “Rawhide” to “The Muppets Take Manhattan” and a daily “Through the Decades” time capsule show.

Antenna TV (Channel 20.3): “Newhart,” “The Jeffersons,” “All In The Family,” “Barney Miller,” “Leave It To Beaver,” “Mister Ed,” “Green Acres,” “Bewitched,” “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Three’s Company,” “Sanford and Son,” “Good Times,” “One Day At A Time” are joined by other old sitcoms.

Heroes & Icons (Channel 20.4): Call the cops! “NYPD Blue,” “Hill Street Blues,” “The Commish,” “21 Jump Street,” “Real Stories of the Highway Patrol,” “Renegade” and the 1960s soldiers from “Combat!” fill the lineup.

AMG-TV (Channel 20.5): “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” “Forensic Files,” “Dragonfly TV,” “Aqua Kids,” “Judge Faith” and “DaVinci’s Inquest” air on a channel from Access Media Group.

Tuff TV (Channel 20.6): The male-oriented network airs “Planet X,” “MotoWorld 2: Rev It Up!” “Bounty Hunters,” “Cold Squad” and PWAW and IWWA wrestling shows.

The WKRP TV lineup:

CoziTV (WKRP, Channel 25.1): “Charlie’s Angels,” “Miami Vice,” “Dragnet,” “Starsky & Hutch,” “Adam-12,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Here’s Lucy,” “Make Room For Daddy,” “My Favorite Martian” and other classics air on this network owned by NBCUniversal TV stations.

ThisTV (Channel 25.2): A mix of movies and old TV shows such as “The Defiant Ones,” “Thunderbolts and Lightfoot,” “Brannigan,” and “Mulholland Falls.”

RetroTV (Channel 25.3): Reruns range from “Highway to Heaven” and “Doctor Who,” to “Route 66,” “Naked City,” “Jerry Lewis Show,” “Joey Bishop Show,” “Mister Peepers” and “Hopalong Cassidy.”

JTV (Channel 25.4): Home shopping jewelry channel.

Heartland (Channel 25.5):  Country music themed channel airs “Crook & Chase,” “Music City Tonight,” “Country Music Today” and “Lorianne Crook’s Celebrity Kitchen.”

SonLife (Channel 25.6): Christian programming 24/7 from Jimmy Swaggart Ministries’ Sonlife Broadcasting Network.

Block broadcasts Channels 20 and 25 over-the air from WCPO-TV’s tower in Walnut Hills. They are not carried by Time Warner, the area’s biggest cable system.

“All you need is an antenna to enjoy the 6 new channels of great programming, and no cable bill at the end of the month,” says Block, who started his low-power stations 25 years ago.
