SB I-71 Ramp To Third St. Closing For A Year

The ramp to Third St. from southbound I-71 is closed and will remain so for about a year as work continues on rebuilding the I-71 bridge decks over Eggleston Ave, Cutter/Butler roads, and I-471.Traffic is being detoured onto Gilbert, East Eighth, Sycamore and Third streets.

Here's more from the Ohio Department of Transportation:

During the next year and a half, the I-71 bridge decks will be rebuilt, beginning with southbound I-71 and finishing with the northbound I-71 lanes. Once this work begins, the southbound lanes will be shifted to the northbound side using contraflow lanes, just north of the Lytle Tunnel. Next year, for the work to occur in the northbound lanes, traffic will be shifted to the southbound side of I-71. Additionally next year I-71 from north of the Lytle Tunnel to the Norwood Lateral will be repaved. Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and ramp closure. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
