Raising Vegetables And Fruits In An Urban Garden

Steve Cummings

Over the last several years, an increasing interest in learning more about where our foods come from and a desire to eat healthier have prompted more people living in urban areas to grow their own fruits and vegetables.

And as many of these urban gardeners have discovered, with proper planning and preparation, you can grow quite a bit of food in a small area. Joining us to discuss urban gardening and to answer your yard and garden questions are Carriage House Farm Garden Manager Kate Cook; Campbell County Extension Office Horticulture Agent Sarah Stolz; and Co-owner of Homeadow Song Farm and Director of the Community Garden Program at Turner Farm, Peter Huttinger
