Public invited to forum on Kentucky's legislature

The Northern Kentucky Forum will hold an event Tuesday night where state legislators will talk about the legislature's 2013 agenda and citizens will get advice on how to follow legislation and contact legislators.

The forum takes place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Notre Dame Academy auditorium at 1699 Hilton Drive in Park Hills.

Among the panelists will be three state legislators - Republican State Sen. Chris McDaniel, who represents northern Kenton County; Democratic State Rep. Arnold Simpson of Covington, and Republican State Rep. Adam Koenig who represents parts of Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.

Rob Weber of the Legislative Research Commission will be on hand to provide a "citizen's guide" to following legislation and contacting legislators.

In advance of the event, northern Kentuckians can take part in an online poll on legislative issues by visiting http://nkyforum.org. The event Tuesday night is free and open to the public.
