An exhibit celebrating the "People's Princess" is wrapping up its 11-year world tour in the Queen City.
Cincinnati is the final stop for "Diana, A Celebration." Diana's will left many of the exhibit items to Prince William upon his 30th birthday and he's decided to call them home, according to Althorp Estate art handler and curator Nick Grossmark.
"The fact that this is now coming to its end," Grossmark says, "is probably right and proper. It's been 16 years since her passing. We have a new generation of royal family in {England}. It feels fitting that this woman should now be laid to rest."
The exhibition features 150 objects including Spencer family heirlooms, Diana's childhood toys, 28 designer dresses, home videos, jewels, and, of course, Diana's famous wedding gown.
Diana's work with various charities is also highlighted. Grossmark says, "her charity work was uppermost in her life."
It's in this section of the exhibit you'll find one of Grossmark's favorite items. "There's a book that was given to her by Mother Theresa. It's probably one of the smallest items we have in the exhibition but there's just something poignant about it... two great woman who held big respect for one another."
