Pete Rose Way closing next week for removal of pedestrian bridge

A construction zone will be set up on Pete Rose Way from Broadway to Johnny Bench Way so workers can safely remove the steel structure of the pedestrian bridge over Pete Rose Way to the Arena/Ball Park Plaza.

It's a continuation of the work that removed concrete decking from the bridge this week.

Removal of the steel structure starts Monday, January 21, and lasts until the following Sunday, February 3, unless it's completed sooner.

The new pedestrian bridge, part of The Banks project, is scheduled to open in October.

Meantime, pedestrians are being rerouted to elevators to the Plaza and there are detour walkways at various points.
