Throughout Cincinnati, residents, community leaders and organizations are working to improve conditions in their neighborhoods.
But repurposing old properties, revitalizing unused spaces and bringing in new people and businesses in a way that benefits both current and new residents takes careful planning and coordination. Now community members and entrepreneurs have a new tool to bring investment and positive change to emerging communities, The Neighborhood Playbook.
People's Liberty Project Grantees Kevin Wright and Joe Nickol created The Playbook, a field guide for both community members and developers designed to help overcome obstacles to change and reduce the risks developers take when working in transitioning neighborhoods.
Joining us to discuss The Neighborhood Playbook are Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation Executive Director Kevin Wright, and MKSK Senior Associate and StreetSense Co-founder Joe Nickol.
