Have you ever wanted to have more than a few flower beds and a lawn in your yard? Would you like to grow more of your own food to have ready access to fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables but didn't think you had the space, or just didn't know where to begin?
Amy Stross quit her career as a high school teacher and learned as much as she could about gardening. She then transformed her suburban yard into a homestead, Tenth Acre Farm, started a community garden and went on to create a website and publish a book, "The Suburban Micro-Farm, Modern Solutions for Busy People."
Amy Stross joins "Cincinnati Edition" this afternoon along with our gardening experts, Campbell County Extension Office Horticulture Agent Sarah Stolz; and Director of the Turner Farm Community Garden Program and Co-overseer of Homeadow Song Farm, Peter Huttinger.
Tune in to "Cincinnati Edition" May 29 at 1 p.m. to hear this segment.
