Many younger audiences know her from the classic movie, White Christmas. But to millions, Rosemary

Clooney will always be America?'s favorite girl singer. And we in Cincinnati have always proudly claimed her as our own. Now a new musical biography, Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical, details her rise from Cincinnati childhood to Hollywood stardom, her battles with depression and triumphant comeback. Tenderly opened last week and runs through January 4 at Cincinnati's Playhouse in thePark?'s Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre. Joining us to look at the play, life and music of Rosemary Clooney are Susan Haefner, who portrays Rosemary, Michael Marotta, who plays the part of the Doctor along with several other roles during the production, and Playhouse in the Park Artistic Director Blake Robison, who is directing Tenderly.

To kick-off the conversation, we will hear Around Cincinnati contributor Rick Pender's interview with the local playwrights, Janet Vogt and Mark Friedman, who wrote Tenderly.
