Hollywood rolls into Fourth Street downtown again Friday, the first day of shooting for the “Marauders” bank theft thriller starring Bruce Willis, Dave Bautista and Christopher Meloni.
The first scenes will be filmed all day at the Dixie Terminal Building, 49 E. Fourth St., according to the film location managers.
No parking restrictions will be posted on Fourth, Walnut and Third Streets from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday.
That means some downtown parking spots won’t be available for the 7:10 p.m. Reds-Mets game at Great American Ball Park.
Director Steven C. Miller will be filming for three weeks “in various neighborhoods of downtown and Over-the-Rhine, through Oct. 16,” said the location managers’ announcement.
“Cincinnati Police officers will be on hand to facilitate traffic control and maintain public safety at all times. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience or disruption our presence may cause,” the notice said.
For two weeks, Miller has been posting Instagram photos of places he has scouted for the movie about an FBI agent pursuing bank robbers who give their stolen loot to charity. Willis plays a bank owner with many secrets.
The Internet Movie Database describes the plot this way: “An untraceable group of elite bank robbers is chased by a suicidal FBI agent who uncovers a deeper purpose behind the robbery-homicides.”
Last year, scenes for CateBlanchett’s “Carol” and Don Cheadle’s “Miles Ahead” features were shot on Fourth Street. George Clooney also filmed part of “The Ides of March” on Fourth Street in 2011.
