Correction: During the show, we misstated the final jury votes. Here is how the 12 jurors voted according to the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office: "The first vote was 6-6 on murder. The final vote was 4 for guilty of murder, 4 for guilty of voluntary manslaughter and 4 for not guilty."
After 25 hours of deliberation, the jury in the trial of Ray Tensing for the shooting death of Sam DuBose was not able to unanimously agree on a verdict. The judge hearing the case, Megan Shanahan, accepted their statement and declared a mistrial. Now many in the community are calling for Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters to try the case again and get a conviction against Tensing. Deters has until a hearing scheduled on November 28 to make a decision on whether to retry the case.
