Cate Blanchett’s “Carol” and Don Cheadle’s “Miles Ahead” filmed here last summer will have special Cincinnati screenings.
“They will premiere here,” says Kristen Erwin Schlotman, executive director of the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Film Commission.
Details have not been finalized. “I have no dates,” she says.
“Carol” and “Miles Ahead” will be screened this week at the New York Film Festival.
The “Miles Ahead” release date is Sunday, when it plays the film festival’s closing night, the International Movie Database says.
“Carol” is scheduled for a limited release Nov. 20, the big movie weekend before Thanksgiving, followed by a larger distribution in December.
Cincinnati will have two Hollywood productions filming in the area “soon,” Schlotman says.
Singer Mariah Carey starts directing and starring in “A Christmas Melody” this month, so it can premiere Dec. 19 on the Hallmark Channel. The title recently was changed from "Melody & Mistletoe," says a Hallmark Channel publicist.
“Marauders,” a bank robbery thriller starring Christopher Meloni, Bruce Willis, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier, will be filming here two more weeks.
