During this one-hour special that'll air at 11pm on Saturday, January 24th, you'll hear an interview by Stuart Holman with Sonny Moorman, and then later in the show, you'll hear an interview I did with Kelly Richey in the Corbett Studio.
A couple of weeks ago, Sonny Moorman and Stuart Holman brought their guitars into our Corbett Studio to talk and play. Stuart interviewed Sonny, and they talked about the Sonny Moorman Band heading down to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge. Sonny also discussed playing in Hamilton, Lonnie Mack, Sun studio, his current band, and their new cd on Atlas Records.
Stuart also asked Sonny to talk about his guitar collection. It's always fun to hear two guitarists talk guitars. And then at the end of the conversation, they both pulled out their guitars and played "Let's Work Together" with vocals by Sonny Moorman.
On Wednesday, January 14th, Kelly Richey came into the Corbett Studio and talked with me about a variety of subjects beginning with her musical roots in Lexington, KY. She also talked about her website, having dyslexia, writing poetry and her book "Whisperings." I also asked her about her band, some of her upcoming gigs, and her guitar collection. At the end of the interview, she pulled out her guitar and played a single which is posted on her website, "Love."
