A group of campers and artists want to make neighbors with the wildlife in one of Cincinnati's oldest parks. Two proposals would change part of the 90-acres inside Clifton's Burnet Woods.
The Camping and Education Foundation would like to construct a 2,500-square foot "living building" south of the lake. The Clifton Cultural Arts Center is looking for a larger building, more in the range of 25,000- to 35,000-square feet, to be built inside the park. Cincinnati Parks leaders held a community conversation in May to gather input from the public on the two proposals.
Joining "Cincinnati Edition" to discuss the proposals for Burnet Woods are Cincinnati Parks Director Wade Walcutt; and Cincinnati City Councilmember David Mann.
