Here's where the Devon Still jersey money is going

Devon Still and Cincinnati Children's
Devon asks his daughter Leah is she's "ready to get the cancer up out" of her.

Maybe you have joined the Saint's Sean Peyton and the Eagles' Chip Kelly in buying a $100 Devon Still jersey to support pediatric cancer research atCincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Thursday, at the game, the Cincinnati Bengals will present a check from the jersey sales to the hospital for $1 million. Still's 4-year old daughter Leah is planning to see the presentation in person. She's well enough to travel.

Children's says the money is being put to good use. It will go to develop new drugs and buy new equipment to test the drugs.

Researchers like Otis Pinkard knows the problems limited resources can cause. He and his fellow scientists come to a meeting every Friday at Children's. He says, "From that we develop these hypotheses or ideas of things that could possibly improve the care from this pediatric cancer research, but you quickly, you think about how much money it will cost."

Pinkard and others explain their research in this Children's video:

Pinkard says the money, "Gives us the freedom to really ramp up our ideas."
