Hamilton County's New Family Law Clinic Assists Low-Income Individuals Navigate Family Court

Wikipedia.org

Wending your way through the family court system can be an intimidating experience. If you do not have the money to hire an attorney and must face the process on your own, it can be especially difficult.

Last month a new program, the Family Law Clinic, was initiated to provide help to low-income individuals who must represent themselves in the Hamilton County Domestic Relations Court.

Joining us to discuss the new Family Law Clinic are Judge Jon Sieve of the Domestic Relations Division of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas; Court Administrator for the Hamilton County Domestic Relations Court, Lisa Gorrasi; and Managing Attorney with the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Anne Lucas.

The Family Law Clinic is a joint effort by the Hamilton County Domestic Relations Court, the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati and the Hamilton County Law Library. The clinic is staffed by volunteer lawyers, law students and court staff members.
