Frisch's Big Boy Coming Back To Downtown

Provided

After 13 years, Frisch's Big Boy is set to return to downtown Cincinnati. The new location will be diagonally across from Fountain Square on the first floor of Carew Tower facing Fifth Street. The new restaurant is expected to open in February of 2018. The Carew Tower location will be 4,000 square feet and will be next to the Boi Na Braza Brazilian Steak House.

Frisch's had a location on Sixth Street that closed in 2004.

Frisch's CEO Jason Vaughn said in a release that he is looking forward to Frisch's returning to Downtown. "As we continue to celebrate our heritage, we are excited to once again be a part of the Downtown community," Vaughn said. "Fountain Square is a vibrant part of the city and a family-friendly destination for residents and visitors. We are looking forward to serving our customers where they work and play."

The architectural plans have not been created. Frisch's is asking for the public's input.

The new Frisch's will be open for three meals a day, seven days a week. Hours of operation have not yet been decided. The company is planning to hire 70 to 85 employees.

Frisch's Big Boy was founded in 1939. Frisch's has locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. There are a total of 95 restaurants and 25 franchises within the three states.
