Fans will finally get to see what FC Cincinnati will look like as the team heads to Major League Soccer next year. The soccer club unveils its new branding during an invitation-only event Monday at 6 p.m.Earlier this year, the team hired the local branch of consulting firm Interbrand to head the rebranding.
FC Cincinnati enters MLS as the league's 24th member.
The team's colors are expected to remain the same, though the shades of blue and orange may change.
Many are expecting a new take on what the "FC" in Futbol Club Cincinnati stands for, as well. It's highly anticipated to become more Germanic.
The team holds title to and has been using the German pronunciation "Fussball Club Cincinnati" in some legal documents rather than the current Futbol Club Cincinnati. It could also be fußball, using the German letter Eszett.
There was much speculation on the Internet Friday after the logo below was spotted on an official MLS site.
