Confronting Islamophobia - A Community Conversation Coming To The Freedom Center

Provided

Islamophobia is fear, hatred and hostility toward Islam and Muslims spread by negative stereotypes, often in the media and recently from politicians. It results in discrimination and marginalization of Muslims. From Fear to Freedom: Confronting Islamophobia, taking place at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center this Wednesday, is a community conversation that will explore ways to create a more inclusive community free of this prejudice.

Joining us to talk about Islamophobia and From Fear to Freedom are President of the Board of the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, Shakila Ahmad; National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Executive Vice President and Provost, Dr. Michael Battle; and Professor and Executive Director of The Edward B. Brueggeman Center for Dialogue at Xavier University, Dr. James Buchanan.
