Clermont County lands Rowing Club Nationals

Harsha Lake in Clermont County's East Fork State Park will host the 2015 USRowing Club Nationals July 15 through the 19th.

The Club Nationals is one of the largest summer regattas nationwide, featuring five full days of racing and more than 1,500 crews from youth, collegiate, and adult teams nationwide. Here is video from the 2013 National Championships

Harsha Lake is no stranger to national regattas

County Commissioner David Uible says, "Clermont County has two important advantages: first, we have a world-class venue that includes Olympic starting blocks; second, we have an involved local community that is really proud to get behind this effort."
An estimated 1,800 athletes will participate in the 2015 event. Visiting families, friends, coaches and spectators will generate total attendance exceeding 5,000 visitors.

It's estimated the 5-day event will generate $2 million dollars.
