Cincinnati Police detectives are calling on the public for clues into a rash of graffiti incidents in Clifton's Gaslight District.
Within the last three weeks Detective Chris Pohlman says somebody has written in marker the letters A-C-A-B on a garage door and on cars. He's been looking on social media for clues. "The little moniker popped up. We are kind of investigating that, that person that made that kind of remark in social media, but right now don't have a whole lot to go on," says Pohlman
He says the incidents have taken place on McAlpin and Ludlow Avenues.
According to police spokesman Lt. Steve Saunders there is video but it is grainy. "It confirms for you that there is a person there and they did what we know happened and the aftereffect of the graffiti but it's too difficult to make an identification," says Saunders.
One video shows the suspect as a white female, but other videos show the person covered up in a hoodie and jeans and walking like a man.
The suspect or suspects face criminal damaging or vandalism charges.
Saunders encourages other neighborhoods to report their graffiti. He says it is a big cause of flight in the community.
