Dyslexia often runs in families, and according to the National Institutes of Health, it affects 15% of the population. Joining us to look at dyslexia and what treatment methods are successful in helping those with the condition learn how to process information are Dr. Tzipi Horowitz-Kraus, program director at the Cincinnati Children?'s Hospital Medical Center?'s Reading and Literacy Discovery Center; Dr. Scott Holland, scientific director of the Communication Sciences Research Center and Pediatric Neuroimaging Research Consortium at Children?'s Hospital; and Dr. John Hutton, pediatrician and owner of the Blue Manatee Children's Bookstore.
