CCROW From The Cincinnati Police Department Supports Witnesses Of Crimes

A "no-snitch" mentality and witness intimidation make it difficult to prosecute known criminals for their crimes, especially shootings and homicides. Police may have a viable suspect in a case, but often cannot charge the individual because witnesses are unwilling to come forward. 

A new program developed by the Cincinnati Police Departmenthopes to change that. CCROW, Cincinnati Citizens Respect Our Witnesses, is designed to support witnesses and help make our communities safer.

Joining us to discuss CCROW and the challenges witnesses often face are Cincinnati Police Department Therapist and Social Worker, Karen Rumsey; and CPD Sergeant Jennifer Mitsch, who came up with the concept for CCROW.
