Former WUBE-FM morning co-host Amanda Orlando returns to mornings Monday, replacing Bob Goen and Marianne Curan, according to Radio Online.
Goen, former Entertainment Tonight co-host, had hosted mornings with his wife for six years on the Cumulus Media station.
Orlando moves over from Cumulus' sister country station NASH 94.1 (WNNF-FM), where she hosted 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and worked as assistant program director. She will do mornings on the WARM Morning Show with Jim and Amanda with producer Jim Day (not to be confused with Reds TV/radio announcer Jim Day).
Orlando formerly hosted mornings on Hubbard's WUBE-FM (B105.1). She was fired in February 2009, when she refused to do mornings at low-rated sister station WYGY-FM. She emailed me back then to say, "I did not choose to leave the B105 Morning Show, I was removed from that show and that station."
Day has hosted mornings at Dayton's WHKO-FM, Tulsa's KWEN-FM and Nashville's WSM-FM.
Goen, a Southern California native, started in radio in his hometown of Long Beach after college. He had hosted Wheel of Fortune, Perfect Match and other TV shows before coming to the Cincinnati radio station with his wife. Curan, a Maryland native and an alum of The Groundlings comedy troupe, had appeared on Malcolm in the Middle, Big Love and portrayed Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Martha Stewart on Jay Leno's Tonight Show.
