On July 26, 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act into law, with a goal of creating equal opportunities for people with disabilities through inclusion in the workplace, in schools, and in the community. As the nation celebrates the Americans with Disabilities Act?'s 25th anniversary, we discuss the legal, societal and personal aspects of the law. We begin by taking a look at the history of the ADA and how the law is interpreted and enacted today.
