Maryanne Zeleznik

News Director and Morning Edition Host, Host of Cincinnati Edition

In 2005, Maryanne Zeleznik came to 91.7 WVXU from WNKU where she served as News and Public Affairs Director for 20 years. At WVXU she is responsible for all news and public affairs programming, covers daily news, produces local features, regularly contributes news stories to National Public Radio, and hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday, and Cincinnati Edition on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 pm.

Zeleznik has won numerous regional and national journalism awards including the Leo C. Lee Award for significant contributions to public radio news from the Public Radio News Directors Incorporated, as well as awards from Ohio Associated Press, Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, and the Cincinnati Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

KY auditor to review CVG board

Kentucky's auditor says he'll take a close look at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Board after media reports raised concerns about travel and spending. 

Auditor Adam Edelen says, "We are going to be reviewing every expenditure made by the airport board. We're going to get to the nub of the issue, which is 'Is the questionable spending on things like travel a consistent theme through every expenditure stream at the airport?' I don't have an answer for that but I will."

Liam and Emma top Northern Kentucky baby names

Liam and Emma were the most popular names for babies in Northern Kentucky last year.  Emma also was the top girl name for Cincinnati babies last year.  The Northern Kentucky Health Department released the name list for babies born in Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton counties.  The list does not include babies who live in Northern Kentucky but were born in Ohio.  Here's the full list:
