People who supported longer terms for Cincinnati Council Members are celebrating.  

City voters narrowly approved a charter amendment Tuesday to change the Council term to four-years instead of the current two.  

Campaign co-chair Mike Allen said he's not concerned the issue only passed by a little more than two-thousand votes.

Incumbent Ohio House Democrat Connie Pillich faced a bit of an uphill battle after her seat was redistricted but she was re-elected last night over Republican Mike Wilson.

Pillich says veteran's issues and education are key issues for her. She says education was by far the biggest concern she heard from constituents too.

For the first time in 25 years Hamilton County will have new sheriff and he's not a Republican.

Cincinnati voters Tuesday narrowly approved a charter amendment that will change city council members

terms in office from the current two-years to four.


First district Congressman Steve Chabot has been re-elected for a ninth term. He says he's willing to work with President Obama, if Mr. Obama is willing to work with Congress.

"We need to do what's right for the country and it's a whole lot better if you have a President working together. The President wasn't particularly interested in working with a Republican Congress recently in the last couple of years and hopefully that will change."

Only a year ago we gathered to celebrate the defeat of Issue 2, an undisguised assault on the middle class.

Just like this fall, we fought back against secretive out-of-state forces that wanted to impose THEIR will upon OUR great state.
