Former Congressman, Cincinnati Mayor Tom Luken Dies
Tom Luken, a former congressman and mayor of Cincinnati has died. He was 92. Luken was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio in the early 1960s and represented two different congressional districts from 1974 to 1990. He remained active in politics well into his later years. Funeral services are pending.
CINCINNATI -- Former Cincinnati mayor and longtime congressman Tom Luken has died. He was 92. Luken served on Cincinnati City Council in the 1960s and 70s, when a member of Council served as mayor in a largely ceremonial role. He went on to serve in Congress from the late 70s until 1991, when son Charlie won the seat.
