Lots of vocalists on this week's Swing show.  Bill's chosen some legendary singers like June Christy with Stan Kenton, Julie London's "Cry Me a River," and Billie Holiday performing the classic, "Lover Man."  There are  also big bands like Glenn Miller, Harry James, and Ray Anthony.

You're in for a treat on Saturday night, September 27th beginning at 10 o'clock.  Bill begins his nostalgic program with Patti Page singing "I've Got My Eyes on You."  This is followed with some Glenn Miller and then Bing Crosby.  You'll also hear from Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, and Jo Stafford.  And, the show ends with Artie Shaw's "Lover Come Back to Me."

Lots and lots of vocalists on this evening's swing show!  Some of the male vocalists include Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Steve Tyrell.  From the ladies of swing, you'll hear Jo Stafford singing "The Trolley Song,"  "Memories of You" by the King Sisters, and local favorite Rosemary Clooney doing a version of "I Get Around Without You Very Well."  There are also, of course, big band favorites by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Count Basie.

This week you'll hear hometown favorite Blue Wisp Big Band who's found a new home at Japp's on Main Street in Over the Rhine on Wednesday evenings.  I hear the place is packed for them, and the band loves the new digs.  There are also songs from Mel Torme, "The Lady is a Tramp," the Four Freshmen's "You Stepped Out of a Dream," and Linda Ronstadt's "What'll I Do."

If you enjoy songs performed by female jazz vocalists, you'll enjoy this weekend's swing show on Saturday, September 6th beginning at 10pm.  Doris Day performs "The Very Thought of You," and Nancy Wilson sings "The Song is You."  You'll also hear a couple of songs by the legendary Ella Fitzgerald including "Coochi, Coochi, Coo" as well as "Let's Begin" from the Jerome Kern Songbook cd.

Join Bill Cartwright Saturday night at 10 o'clock, August 30th, for a pre-Labor Day swing show!  You'll hear classic big band songs like Woody Herman's "Woodchopper's Ball" and Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing."  Vocalists who'll be featured include Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, and Harry Connick, Jr.

This week, swing favorites from Rosemary Clooney, Tony Bennett and Diana Krall.  You'll hear Frank Sinatra singing "Love is Just Around the Corner" and "Moonlight in Vermont," too.
