Though its greatest claim to fame is the midnight showings of the movie version, The Rocky Horror Show started as a stage play, and Showbiz Players is bringing its version of it to The Carnegie in Covington.

Showbiz Players are taking on the macabre fun of the musical version of the 1960’s TV classic, The Addams Family, opening at The Carnegie in Covington on May 29.

Cincinnati’s Showbiz Players are bringing the musical theater version of the ominous, yet inadvertently hysterical, 1936 film Reefer Madness. Director Adam Drake tells our Jim Stump that the stage version is stylized, adult themed, satirical parody for our times.

The hit Broadway musical Monty Python’s Spamalot is the next production from Cincinnati’s Showbiz Players. Opening May 30 at The Carnegie in Covington, our Jim Stump gets a preview from Producer-Direator Bunny Arszman and the actor taking on the Lady in the Lake role, Stacey Bausch.

Of all the films turned into Broadway musicals, this might be the most unusual. Showbiz Players is currently presenting Carrie: The Musical, based on the Steven King-based movie. Director Michael Shawn Starks came in to the studio to describe this stage event with our Jim Stump.
