Regional Council of Governments

The Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments is continuing efforts to plan for the region's future.  It's holding an event Wednesday evening to reveal the findings from a "How Do We Grow From Here Questionnaire."

Communication Director Brian Cunningham said there are about 32 issues facing the region.

Hamilton County Commissioners Chris Monzel and Greg Hartmann are calling on the Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) to pull promised dollars from the Cincinnati Streetcar project.

In a letter, the pair say that because of "significant cost overruns" they believe OKI's $4 million could be better spent elsewhere. They also request alternative options for the money's use be brought before the OKI executive council.

They write:

Tri-state residents appear to be generally satisfied with roads, housing and local issues affecting their everyday lives.

The results come from a survey by the Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments.

Nearly 2,500 people responded  to questions ranging from infrastructure to schools, energy efficiency, public health and other quality of life issues.
