Ray Tensing took the stand in his own defense Tuesday. He's charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Sam DuBose during a 2015 traffic stop.

Through tears, Tensing described how DuBose seemed "squirrely" and "nervous," making Tensing feel like "something wasn't right." He said the incident happened in a "split second."

A forensic video analyst says Sam DuBose's car began moving 800 milliseconds, or eight-tenths of a second, before former UC Police Officer Ray Tensing fatally shot him. Grant Fredericks testified Tensing was not dragged by DuBose's car.

University of Cincinnati police officers David Lindenschmidt and Philip Kidd say they did not see former officer Ray Tensing being dragged on the day he shot and killed Sam DuBose during a traffic stop. Both men testified Wednesday they saw Tensing standing by DuBose's car and heard tires squealing followed by a gun shot.

Hamilton County is opening Courtroom B in the Justice Center as a public viewing site for the upcoming trial of former UC police officer Ray Tensing.
