Need for more minority health care providers

There is a growing need for a more diverse array of health care providers.

A recent survey found that many minorities are more trusting of a health care provider who is of the same race or ethnicity, pointing to a need for a more diverse array of medical providers. And our growing immigrant population is adding to that need. We look at the role race, ethnicity, and cultural background play in patients receiving proper heath care, and efforts to encourage and mentor more minorities to enter careers in medicine, with Dr.
