Over-the-Rhine

Over-the-Rhine Community members and business owners are rallying support for the streetcar project in the wake of last week's election. They're calling on the mayor-elect and new council members to keep the streetcar moving forward.

Derek dos Anjos owns a seafood restaurant near the streetcar route.

"I moved here two years ago from New York, NY and I've seen first hand what light rail can do for a city," says dos Anjos. "It would be a big shame if we didn't continue the streetcar. My business is depending on it. Mr. Cranley, please don't do this."

Over the Rhine’s Harvest Gallery’s current show is March On, Women: An Exhibition of Art by Women on Women and will be on exhibit until April 19. The curator, Alissa J. Magenheim, and one of the gallery’s organizers, Cedric Cox, join our Jane Durrell to talk about the artists involved in this exhibit, as well as the mission of Harvest Gallery.

Correction:  Walnut Street and East 15th Street are in Over-the-Rhine not Walnut Hills as original story indicated.

1207 Returns to OTR

Dec 11, 2012

A new music venue is opening in OTR!

It is called "1207" - a throwback to the original venue from the 1990's.

Located just upstairs from Cincy by the Slice, Venomous Valdez - a regular friend of the show says it will be a "little room with an emphasis on Americana/Folk/Jazz/Blues/Indie Rock."

The "soft opening" will be this Thursday, December 13th.
