As the Ohio Legislature argues over a new 2-year budget plan, some Ohioans are claiming the state's financial shortage can be traced to some people and companies not paying their fair share of taxes. Statehouse News Correspondent Bill Cohen reports:

More than a hundred Ohio gun owners rallied at the statehouse Friday. As Bill Cohen reports, they were not expressing anger at the government officials who work inside the building. Instead, they were protesting federal lawmakers in Washington.

New law has tails wagging

Ohio’s Governor has signed a bill into law that cracks down on puppy mills.

The signing ceremony for a bill that sets standards for high concentration kennels went to the dogs… literally. As Governor Kasich signed the bill, a Bichon named Sammy joined him on the table.

The bill requires registration and vet checks for dogs in high volume kennels.  It’s a change that Sue Pohler, the owner of a puppy milled dog, says has been a long time coming for a couple of reasons.
