The president of the National Rifle Association is speaking at Murray State University the night before one of the state’s largest political events this summer, but organizers of the August 4th Fancy Farm Picnic are unsure if he will make an appearance at their event.

A federal judge in Florida has decided that the National Rifle Association cannot use pseudonyms for teenagers who want to buy guns as part of a legal challenge against new gun laws in Florida.

The judge expressed sympathy for the teenagers, acknowledging that they probably would suffer extreme harassment if their names were public. But, he wrote with evident reluctance, the law was clear that pseudonyms were not allowed.

President Trump and Vice President Pence speak to the National Rifle Association in Dallas Friday. It's the second year in a row Trump has addressed the gun lobby organization, which was a strong backer of his 2016 campaign.

A liberal group, Moveon.org, is running a cable TV ad in Ohio critical of the National Rifle Association (NRA) - one that is clearly aimed at putting pressure on Ohio's junior senator, Republican Rob Portman, according to the Huffington Post.  

The ad features an Ohio resident, Jerry Thompson  - a gun owner and Moveon.org member - saying that after the NRA's "disgusting response" to the the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, "I've had enough."
