Former NKU Athletic Director sentenced to 10 years

Fired NKU Athletic Director Scott Eaton has pleaded guilty and will spend 10 years in jail and have to pay back $311,000.

Former Northern Kentucky University Athletic Director Scott Eaton pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon in Campbell County Circuit Court to stealing more than $311,000 from the school.  He's been ordered to repay the university and has agreed to serve the maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

Eaton was charged with theft by unlawful taking for diverting  university funds for his own use.  He was fired in March 2013 for having inappropriate relations with four university employees and a student.

NKU says former athletic director stole $300,000

Investigators now have a better idea of how much money a former NKU Athletic Director allegedly stole.

Scott Eaton was fired in March for having inappropriate relationships with four university employees and a student. The university suspected he diverted school funds for personal reasons and had an accounting firm investigate.

Northern Kentucky University says fired athletic director Scott Eaton had inappropriate, intimate relationships with four university employees, including two women he supervised, and one student in a class he taught.
