Rabbit Hash, Kentucky may be best known around here for their General Store or having a dog as mayor, but the town has a long and fascinating history. In his new book, Rabbit Hash, Kentucky: River Born, Kentucky Bred, local historian Donald Clare talks with Mark Perzel about the stories of Rabbit Hash’s past, it’s one-time importance to commerce at the river’s bend, and the recent revival of Rabbit Hash as a destination location in Boone County.

Ernie K-Doe: The R&B Emperor of New Orleans

Cincinnati native Ben Sandmel has studied music and musicians during his career, and now living in New Orleans, he has written about one of the true pioneers of R&B music in his new book Ernie K-Doe: The R&B Emperor of New Orleans. The author was recently a part of the Books by the Banks book festival in Cincinnati, and recently spoke by phone with David Delagator to talk about this interesting artist, best known for his hit Mother in Law.

Author Nadine Huffman and artist Marilyn Lebhar are the creative talents behind the book A Cincinnati Night Before Christmas, a beautiful book all about Cincinnati and with all proceeds going to support adoption efforts happening here in the tri-state. They are in-studio with Lee Hay to talk about the genesis of the book and how they hope to sell out this year’s supply of the book, the same as they did last year.

Classic Cincinnati Architecture

Artists and authors David and Barbara Day join Brian O’Donnell to talk about their new book of drawings and stories about our ever-changing city. Vanishing Cincinnati seeks to preserve some of the classic architecture and geography of this area as was seen from the 1800’s on in a unique and artistic way. The book’s launch will take place on Sunday, December 2 at the Main Branch of the Public Library downtown.
