Northern Kentucky's Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (TRI-ED) now has strong numbers to back claims that it continues to attract local, national, and international companies to Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties.
Kentucky's Governor was in Florence Thursday morning for what Northern Kentucky Tri-ED called a major economic announcement. Gov. Steve Beshear announced an expansion of the L'Oreal manufacturing plant .
This summer it was reported that L'Oreal would invest 42 million dollars at the New Buffington Road facility, nearly doubling the size of the plant and creating 200 jobs. The expansion hinged on tax incentives from Kentucky.
L'Oreal makes hair care products at that location. It is one of six manufacturing facilities in the U.S.
