ISIS sympathizer Christopher Cornell has a detention hearing set for Friday afternoon in front of Magistrate Stephanie Bowman.

The Green Township man was arrested Wednesday after trying to buy a couple of semi-automatic weapons and 600 rounds of ammunition in a plot that the FBI says Cornell told an informant about. The specifics are listed in the criminal complaint.

The FBI says it's arrested a man from a Cincinnati suburb, and charged him with planning an attack on the US Capitol building.  

Twenty-year-old Christopher Lee Cornell of Green Township is charged with attempting to kill US government officers, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of attempted crime of violence.

Rep. Mallory pleads guilty to ethics charges

State Representative Dale Mallory pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges he accepted a gift from a lobbyist and failed to report it on his state financial disclosure report.

The Cincinnati lawmaker entered the plea in a Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. The Federal Bureau of Investigation says Mallory failed to report a ticket to a Bengals game he had received from a lobbyist. That lobbyist gave him food and drinks that also went unreported.
