  At the same time that thousands of people in the tri-state are unemployed or under-employed, many local companies are unable to find enough skilled workers to meet their demands. An upcoming event at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College will showcase the school’s programs and degrees that train students with the skills they need to find a job in today’s economy.

It will now be easier for Cincinnati State students to get four-year degrees from the University of Cincinnati.

The glitches in the government’s computer system that have been causing frustration for millions of Americans trying to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act are being worked out, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in Cincinnati Wednesday.

“I will be the first to tell you that the web site launch was rockier than we wanted it to be,’’ Sebelius, a Cincinnati native said at a forum on the Affordable Health Care Act – also known as Obamacare –at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College Wednesday.

This Wednesday Cincinnati State and Technical College will open a Middletown Campus.  Director Michael Chikeleze says the new campus will have nearly 200 new students when it opens this week.  Students will also be able to take classes at the Main Campus in Cincinnati as well as online. It will be the only Community and Technical College in Butler County.
