I-75 overpass collapse update

A semi was traveling southbound on 75 just as the overpass collapsed.

  One construction worker was killed and a truck driver injured when a section of overpass over I-75 collapsed Monday night. Cincinnati City Manager Harry Black says they don't know yet why the section of road fell. The overpass that fell used to be the ramp from northbound 75 to Hopple Street.  It had been replaced with a new overpass in the last year, and was being torn down.  The investigation is now in the hands of the Ohio Department of Transportation and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Brave enough for Newport Aquarium's shark bridge?

Shark Bridge, scheduled for a mid-April opening at the Newport Aquarium, is not for the faint of heart.

The attraction features a 100-foot-long, V-shaped rope bridge suspended over the waters of the Surrounded by Sharks exhibit's 385,000-gallon tank.

The aquarium says, "It is the only suspension bridge in North America where guests can walk just inches above nearly two dozen lurking sharks."

Ohio waits on Kentucky to approve tolls for Brent Spence

The 50 year old bridge was built to handle 80,000 vehicles every day. Now 160,000 cross.

With the aging Brent Spence in the background, Ohio Governor John Kasich signed House Bill 533 into law Wednesday, as reporters and other politicians looked on.

The bill, which allows Ohio to collect tolls on the bridge, doesn't mean anything until Kentucky drafts and signs similar legislation. In March, the Kentucky House voted 82-7 to prohibit tolls on any federal interstate between Ohio and Kentucky.

Number crunchers to release bridge financing plan

"You know, we've got a lot of things that need to be flexible that we need to pull together and work together on."

Brent Spence study includes possible models & tolls
